A.P. Joynson is a lifelong fantasy enthusiast with a degree in English Literature and a passion for creating imaginative worlds filled with heart, magic, and character-driven narratives. Though he first began writing to soothe a restless mind and a constant need to create, his stories reach back much further: born from the vivid imagination of a child who was afraid of the dark, rarely slept easily, and escaped into worlds of his own making.
His debut novel, Son of the Lake, grew from the experience of being one of the only openly gay students in a Catholic high school. Joynson crafted the magical queer love stories he longed to read himself, weaving narratives of identity, courage, and belonging. More than a decade later, he has returned to those early tales with new craft, refined prose, and the same heartfelt intention: to share stories that offer representation, wonder, and hope.
He continues to develop work that blends emotional depth with rich world-building, inviting readers into the stories he once kept only in his imagination.
